Tech Maximus is looking for a Shopify Developer to build and maintain online stores for our clients. You will take work from brief through launch: storefront design, Liquid templates, product and collection pages, and the app integrations a shop depends on.
The work covers new stores as well as existing ones that need redesigns, speed work, or new features — how a catalog is structured, how quickly pages load, and how smoothly a customer moves from product page to checkout. You will work with the project team and the client's feedback, and hand over what you build in a state the next person can pick up.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and customize Shopify stores from client briefs through to launch.
- Customize Liquid templates, sections, and blocks so stores match the design and stay easy to edit.
- Develop and refine storefront, product, and collection pages for a smooth shopping experience.
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps, and adjust them when they get in the store's way.
- Improve store speed: images, scripts, and page loading behavior on product-heavy pages.
- Carry out redesigns, migrations, and feature additions on existing stores.
- Investigate and fix issues on live stores, and support clients after launch.
- Work with the team on scope, estimates, and revisions, and keep your work moving to schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify and how its themes and sections are structured.
- Hands-on experience customizing Liquid templates.
- Solid HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end work.
- Understanding of responsive design and how shoppers browse on mobile.
- Familiarity with Shopify apps and store integrations.
- Care for performance: fast product and collection pages, even with large catalogs.
- Able to read a brief, ask the right questions, and deliver what was agreed.
- Clear written communication for updates, revision notes, and handovers.
- Links to Shopify stores you have worked on are welcome in your application.
